Overnight at the SXSW the next version of ExpressionEngine was previewed, 2.0. Here are some screenshots and a little detail.

Hey Simon, I’m looking forward to EE 2.0 too wink Looks like it will still be a ways off given the limited preview & the fact things are still in flux, but good to see where they’re heading!

Being built on CodeIgniter looks interesting (wish I had stuck with learning it). I’ve cobbled together a roster system using EE, but under EE 2.0, I suspect I’d be able to build the extended functionality in CI and leverage EE’s membership functions etc.
