Categories: Apple,

The WWDC ‘06 keynote is over, and nothing unexpected was released. That’s one of the problems with Apple launches, intuiative guesses could tell you what key products will be released, then the rumours speculate on the one more thing. Thing is, this time there was no one more thing.

So, in summary, there’s:

  1. the Mac Pro. Completing the transition to Intel for Apple, the Mac Pro & XServe were released with 64-bit Dual-Core Intel Xeon “Woodcrest” processors. More from Scott.
  2. Due to be shipped in Spring (US) ’07, is the next version of OSX, Leopard. Details from TUAW, some thoughts on the new features from Bartleme and hicksdesign.
  3. Other minor things: price drop and spec improvements to the Apple displays and other little bits.
