When will QuickTime Pro be free?

Categories: Apple,

With Apple getting more and more serious about video, it’s time they released QuickTime Pro for free. I’ve previously discussed this, but raise it again in the light of the new iPod with video capability.

Without an iTunes store in Australia, the video capability in the new iPod is near useless. Then I noticed this on the Apple iPod Sync page: “Sync Video – Use QuickTime 7 Pro to export your home movies to iTunes for syncing.” So, out of the box, the only video an Australian could put on their iPod would be a video podcast.
