Hello Bloglines?

Date Stamp:
25 February 2008

Bloglines has not been updating feeds since some time last night. That is, there service is not working.

There are a number of posts on their support forums relating to this, but nothing from Bloglines. There’s not even some sort of status page to indicate whether or not they know there is a problem.

I wish Bloglines monetised their service so that customers could have some expectation of service…

Can’t say I’ll be moving over to Google Reader though… just don’t like it.

In some ways having no feeds to read is a bit liberating, and I guess many of you won’t actually read this till Bloglines service starts working again… ironic (?)

I feel the same way about reader. I like bloglines, but I’m not sure I care to stick with them after 12+ hours offline and no status message or response.

If you hear of any alternates to Bloglines or Google Reader, lemme know. There don’t seem to be any that are as good as Bloglines was.

I agree with both comments, I don’t like Google Reader either but I can not see myself sticking with Bloglines.

I’ve tried Google Reader, rojo, News Alloy, NewsGator, and I haven’t liked any of them sadly, so I’m stuck.

There’s the previously mentioned Newsgator, I just imported my feeds to it. I’d have to say, it’s looks like an immature product.

Some feeds seem to be updating now, the oldest updates are 19 hrs old.

For what it’s worth, I’ve switched to NewsGator. I wrote about why here:
