Categories: Web Useful,

When I posted about MathsClass, I forgot to mention one nice feature, of interest to anyone.

On MathsClass, in the right-hand column, there’s a form to “Search other maths sites”.

This search uses Google to find information in a small set of sites specified by me. Currently, there are 22 sites in the index.

It uses a service called Google Coop.

You can also make the search engine you create collaborative, that is, other people can add sites to search.

This service makes finding information from sites you trust and have found helpful in the past, much easier.

Good idea for interest groups… to tailor for the audience: for example if you were interested in coffee, you could create a search engine for your favourite coffee sites.
