Channel 7 forget about HD

Categories: TV,

The recent launch of two new free-to-air TV channels in Australia (7mate and GEM) has meant that the main Channel 7 and 9 programming is no longer simulcast in HD.

7mate and GEM are HD only channels, with distinct programming. Channel 9 have noted that GEM will simulcast key sporting events that should be broadcast in HD. But, what doesn’t make sense to me is that Channel 7 is not broadcasting the Bathurst 1000 on the HD 7mate channel. Instead, you can watch Magnum P.I., The Rockford Files and Knight Rider.
