The Apple WWDC 2006 begins next week and as is expected when nearing one of the two key events in the Apple calendar, the rumours are flying (at TUAW for example). Mind you, the MacBook was released without even a press conference as I recall.
As it’s nearing the end of the year, there are still a couple of products in the Apple line-up that have not moved to Intel. So, you would expect a replacement to the Power Mac G5, the replacement expected to be called the “Mac Pro”; and the XServe. With a new high-end desktop, it’s also likely Apple will do something to their display line-up as well.
Rumours also suggest consumer products (like the Mac Mini) might be bumped, but to me that’s unlikely, because the WWDC is a developers conference. Although you might see a new consumer product, where Apple are looking for third-party apps/hardware.
Scoble, previously of Microsoft, suggests a dizzying amount of new products with a significant amount of confidence.
