No projector for you

Going into school today, I was looking forward to seeing a new digital projector and Interactive Whiteboard installed in my classroom.

Alas, this is what I found…

No projector for you

Unless it’s installed on Tuesday, I guess I’m not starting the year with a digital projector. More than that, they’ve taken down my overhead projector screen – so no fall-back.

spent all their money on the wiring installation perhaps.

if they have taken your O/H screen then what’s the digital projector going to project onto?

The digital projector is supposed to project onto the interactive whiteboard (which isn’t installed).

But I also wanted to keep the O/H screen, it’s bigger than the whiteboard.

Seems that the IT guy had received information that more had been installed than actually had been. I’m hoping by the end of the week, maybe even tomorrow… does not bode well for the large scale roll-out of Rudd’s Digital Education Revowhat.

Wow you have almost got an interactive whiteboard! Does that mean you got the 1 whiteboard promised to your school?
My new classroom has no points for the network…. which probably means no computers for me without a lot of effort as they only work when connected to the network but the aircon and new carpet and storeroom are fabulous! So I really shouldn’t complain too much!
Ah fun and games!

I’m not sure where my whiteboard is coming from. The projector is one that the school had previously purchased. But, it will be great. Unfortunately, I did prep in the holidays thinking I’d have a projector, so some of that was a waste. Every day this week, I’ve been promised it will be installed.

Whiteboard vs Aircon… I think I would still go with Aircon. It was ridiculously hot at school today.
