When I bought my current mobile (Ericsson T630) a few years ago – yep I’m not very up-to-date on mobile technology – I quickly found the annoyance that is syncing a mobile to your computer.

I previously mentioned that the Government was set to review copyright law in Australia – which as it stands, makes it illegal to record a TV show on your VCR, let along a PVR. Current law also makes it illegal to “rip” songs you own on a CD to an MP3 player. The SMH reports today on the proposed new laws.

Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, said that 2005 was the year of HD (i.e. high definition video), whilst that prediction has not really been fulfilled for the end user, 2005 could be called the year of video on the internet.
