I previously mentioned that the Government was set to review copyright law in Australia – which as it stands, makes it illegal to record a TV show on your VCR, let along a PVR. Current law also makes it illegal to “rip” songs you own on a CD to an MP3 player. The SMH reports today on the proposed new laws.
